Our villa was named "La Casita" or The Cottage.
The villa was beautiful in every sense. However, the landscaping around the property was most impressive. Beautiful plants, trees and flowers encompass the villa as well as your own private swimming pool.
The pool area is just outside the back porch/deck of the villa and has lounge chairs as well as two large and sturdy hammocks. There also is a nice brick barbecue for grilling.
The villa comes with daily maid service that includes doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen (be sure to leave an extra tip for the cleaners, they do a great job).
The villa is not on the beach, but has a nice view of the southern tip of the island.
The main office also provides a nice commissary where you can pick up a bottle of wine (reasonably priced), snacks, soda/water, meat, bread,
etc. The food at the commissary is usually a bit more expensive than what you would pay if you went into town. However, it should be noted that food in general is about 50% more expensive than what one may be used to paying in the states.
Although we had a friendly rooster that would come and visit, he did not crow too often or too early. By the time we heard Roger, the sun rise would already be waking us up anyway.
Our time at La Casita was very private and relaxing. I would highly recommend Guavaberry, but especially La Casita. |
